Food poisoning T_T

Kenna food poisoning on Sunday night. Guess its the prata I ate that made me so sick. Didn't sleep the whole night on Sunday as the regular tummy ache was killing me. I thought I could ta han and tried to sleep, but the pain just became so acute that I was crouching, sitting up in bed. In the end, I woke my parents-in-law at 4am and drove to TMC as I was worried that its contraction. I vomitted before leaving the house to TMC and could see the yellow/orange colour curry sauce liquid ~_~

Reached TMC, was put on CTG for 1 hour to monitor if there's contraction, luckily there wasn't. Was given some diarrhoea and gastric pills. Vomitted in car again on the way back, luckily I brought plastic bag along. Was already 6am by the time we reached home. Super tired T_T, didn't sleep the whole night.

Felt slightly better yesterday though the gastric pain is there on and off, but at least the pain is not so bad as the night before. Totally had no appetite to eat. Tried to eat mee-tai-bak in the morning so that the little one in me can have something to "eat" as well, and it took me more than half an hour to finish a small bowl of it T_T Went to my gynea in the afternoon and was given 3 days MC.

Tried to sleep in the afternoon after I came back from the clinic around 4pm plus as I didnt had a wink the night before. Woke up at around 7 plus and ate the fish porridge that mum-in-law cooked, I bite on a piece of fish that stink so much that it made me wanna puke. Indeed, in the end, I vomitted out all the porridge before I can finish it. I guess the fish stinko is too much for me. And my mum-in-law kept saying "don't drink so much water la" as she saw me vomitting when its her porridge that made me puke.

My mum-in-law had alot of wierd reasoning. Like when she saw me drinking water, she'll ask me not to drink so much water. But I'm just drinking a few cups of water as I was feeling so dehydrated from all the vomitting and diarrhoea. Then when she kept seeing that I'm sitting down and resting in bed, she'll keep coming into the room and ask me to walk around. "Dun keep sitting down la, walk around, baby must walk around then better..." Duh... It's not as if I've been sitting down like that for the whole year through. I just wanna rest since I didn't have enough sleep and my stomach wasn't feeling good. It really drives my nerves sometimes. And this morning at 8 plus, she opened the door and came into the room, asked me for breakfast, go down for a walk, told me not to keep lying in bed, baby must walk around. Duh... I finally managed to have a good night's sleep and just woke up when I heard her opening the door. Kinda pissed off as she made me sound like a lazing pig. And I told her I'll go have a walk myself later. Grr... Really dunno what's wrong with her. I thought people normally will ask sick person to rest well for early recovery, but she kept asking me to walk again and again and again and again that it sounds so irritating. Can't she just let the poor mummy to fully recover first before I bring her grandchild to walk again? Think I'll be going to the library or stay out of house the whole day later since I'm feeling better. If not she'll ask me to walk around again if she catches me sitting down watching TV. Sigh...

Hungry now. Gonna make milo liao... Sigh... Can't wait for hubby to be back. Miss him so much.

Room alone (with the baby in me)

Sianz... Hubby's gone to Holland and will be back only on Hari Raya. Sigh, miss him so much. Its ard 2 to 5 degrees over there, hope his nose don't give him too much trouble. Take care of yourself hubby...

So many people around me are preparing for their wedding. Juehui's one will be in Jan, I think her progress is going well, Shufang preparing for her ROM as well. Just attended Dion's wedding on Sunday, gonna attend Joscelyn's wedding on 13-Dec. Phew... all the red bombs dropping in...

I'm still wondering what are the stuffs I have to buy for my coming baby. It's Dec, so expect to have sales coming up everywhere. Good time to buy the remaining stuffs which I've not bought yet. Let me think... towel, cotton wools, rocker, baby bath... I think there's still a list, but I just can't think of what are the things I left out. Hmm... There's JL sale at expo till 8-Dec, probably will go over and see see look look this Sat.

Currently in 31 weeks' pregnancy and I can see my belly button protruding out liao. My colleague says this is a good time to give it a good wash. Ya, true... coz all the while its protruding in and "gao guek" (dirt) accumulates quite easily. Now that its protruding out, can wash easier. Geez...

Multiply

Its been a super duper long time since I last log in to Multiply until Juehui asked me to sign up for one so that she can show me her wedding and evening gowns that she had tried on.

Gosh, when I went into my multiply website, I realised that the last update were the photos taken during 2005 x'mas celebration at Marina Square. Wow, its been almost 3 years... Gonna do some update on multiply and upload some new photos.

Browsing at the photos I uploaded in my multiply last time make me feel so aged T_T Sighz, I looked so youthful and sweet (don't puke) during those days. Now... Sighz... *shake head* Hope I will return to original state before pregnany after giving birth.

Just past the 2nd trimester mark. Baby was 1.1kg at around 28 weeks when I went for review on Saturday. Around 12 more weeks to go. Kam-ba-de !

Generation gap

Was at my mum's house yesterday when my bro pick out some LD movies from the cupboard to bring home to watch. And so my bro took out the piece of LD from the cover to check for scratches when my niece commented "Wah... Big big CD..." -_-|||

You know, nowadays everyone are into DVDs and the LD era is already over. No wonder my niece is so amused over the giant CD -____-|||

More checks on China products
19 brands on shelves here being tested for melamine

SINGAPORE'S Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority (AVA) has expanded its checks on milk and dairy products from China for melamine contamination.
The AVA said there are 19 dairy and milk products from China sold here. Among them are well-known products such as Magnum, Meiji and Walls ice cream, Rabbit milk candy, and Monmilk and Yili milk.

Meng Niu Group, which produces Monmilk, and the Yili Group have been implicated in the scandal in China.

There is no China-produced infant formula or milk powder available on shelves in Singapore; however manufacturers here do use un-branded milk powder and other dairy products made in China, the AVA said.

When contacted about this, Singapore Food Manufacturers' Association president Allan Tan said it would find out more details from AVA before deciding on a course of action.

He added that if needed, the association may send out a circular advising members to be wary of ingredients sourced from China.

The AVA has already advised retailers to yank a China-made dairy product from shelves - Yili's Natural Choice Yogurt Flavoured Ice Bar with Real Fruit - as a sample of it here was found by the AVA to be tainted with melamine - the chemical found in the tainted infant formula in China.

Amazed & amused

I felt so amazed last time, as I touched other preggy mum's tummy when she tell me to feel the baby's kicking. Its doubly amazing and amusing when the baby is kicking, punching and turning inside your own tummy.

Yesterday I was doing my facial and the little one kept doing his gong fu inside my tummy. On one hand, my face was twitching in pain as the beautician squeezed my clogged pores. On the other hand, I felt kinda ticklish in my tummy as the baby kept kicking 真是哭笑不得 T_T

Going for detailed scan next Thursday. Extremely looking forward to it coz I read that you can actually see the baby's face more clearly as compared to the normal scan. Hopefully baby is cooperative. The last scan at my gynea's clinic, I talked to baby before we went to the clinic to ask her to open her legs big big so that we can see the gender. The baby did opened her legs, but, sigh... showing us from her bottom. -_-||| Maybe my instructions given not clear enough... And the gynea says could be a girl. Think the detailed scan next week will more or less confirm the gender =D

Dealing with nuisance bank calls

Its really a nuisance when banks call you up as and when to promote their bank services which you have zero interest in them.
This is how I deal with such nuisance call:

Banker : Hi, is this Wong XX (my name)?
Me : Yes
Banker : Hi Ms Wong, I'm calling from YYY bank and would like to share with you our new credit line service that our bank is currently offering...
Me : (before letting him continue further) Err... sorry, I'm busy at the moment, can you call me back later?
Banker : (usually...) Oh, can I call you later in the evening say 5pm?
Me : Yes, sure... bye...

Some will never call back and those who really call backs will only get to listen to my lovely voice message greetings.

I've got a colleague, very power response. She will say "Hi, oh, I'm very rich, rich enough, and I don't need all such services. Thanks huh..."

And I've overheard another colleague who response with agitation. "I'm not interested! This is not the first time I receive calls from your bank! Can you update your list that I'm not interested in whatever services you all are offering and stop calling my handphone?!" Poor banker, just wanna do his job but kenna scolded.

I believe such tele-salesperson must have met 1001 kinds of rejection. I do sympathise them as they're just fulfiling their task. So, the next time a banker or tele-sales calls you up, maybe just find a nice way to turn them down or a creative way to response to them and make their day; like the first colleague which I mentioned above =D

My lovely colleagues celebrated my birthday for me the day before. I've now got $160 shopping vouchers for me to do my shopping! Yeah! Time to get new shoes (my comfy shoe has a hole now =S ), new bra (its getting tight =S ) and new clothes. =D Thanks all my colleagues for the birthday contribution.

And yesterday morning I received a pleasant surprise from hubby. A bouquet of flowers and Levi's watch! Was reading some emails in office when Zhenxiong came along with an uncle saying that he's here to pass me something. I was so caught by surprise and so touched when I read the card. Thank you hubby for the thoughtfulness. Love ya lots !!!



After work, went to this restaurant called "Samba steakhouse" at Katong for dinner. It'ss buffet style of roasted meats. Pork la, chicken la, beef la, lamb la... Was very full after that meal. Thanks hubby for everything yesterday. Muackz !

Tonight going to mum's house to eat mee sua coz its my lunar calender birthday today. Happy to me again. Heh heh...

In my 16 weeks currently, they say 2nd trimester is the honeymoon period during pregnancy. Indeed, I didnt felt as tired as before. Looking forward to the next gynea visit. =D

Ferrero

Have seen someone mentioning about Ferrero Rouche dark chocolate in the blog quite some time back. And I finally get to taste it recently !



It was bitterly sweet. The top coat was covered with tiny chocolate bits and is kinda crunchy when you bite it. I don't really know how to appreciate dark chocolate though I'm a chocolate lover and it leaves a bitter aftertaste in my mouth after finishing one. Well... I still prefer the original version.

Do give it a try, especially if you like dark chocolate. Its available in 7-11, selling at 3 for $2.50.

Pimples, pimples

Pimples, pimples on the wall face... which is the biggest of them all?

Boo hoo... first its forehead, now is chin... and my itchy fingers like to scratch them coz sometimes they feel itchy. Argh... Applying axe oil on my chin pimples so it feels minty cool and I won't go and touch it. I like axe oil. I use it for almost anything and everything. Ya, even on my pimples especially when they itch.

Tomorrow's Friday. Finally, Friday is coming! Think weekend is gonna be a nua-ing day again. Zzz... Suddenly feel like eating BBQ food. Hmm...

Another tired day

Another lethargic day. Wierd, I thought I should be more energetic at this stage, but it was totally the opposite. I'm still not having very good appetite and I'm having zits popping out on my forehead. Grrr... clipping up my irritating, fraying, making-my-face-itch fringe.

Extreme tiredness

Feeling extremely tired today. Having slight headache. Don't feel like working or doing anything. I wanna go home to rest.

Was supposed to have a dinner gathering with my colleagues and ex-colleagues who had left the company this evening. Sigh, me in such a state, I think I better go home rest early.

Its Kee's birthday this Sunday, and CCHB gathering as well. Don't think I will go to the class gathering. Nowadays, by evening time, I get very tired and sleepy. Think its just normal, afterall, I need alot of rest at this stage. Somemore they're meeting at Dauby Ghaut, when I thought of having to squeeze and walk in crowds, it makes me doubly sianz.

Feel that Kee and me is getting more and more distant. Perhaps now we seldom meet or chat. Even in MSN, she'll only appear offline. Selective chatting. Or perhaps she only talks to him, afterall, love conquers all *shrugz* Just glad that she's deeply in love now. I'm hopeful that this relationship will blossom. Hope that she's keeping in touch constantly with other frenz though she seldom contacts me. Afterall, family and frenz will never walk out of you, but boyfriend juz comes and go. Ugly facts of life.

Updates

Alright, back from Bangkok last Saturday. It was raining everyday. Rain, rain, rain... If its not raining, it was super hot and sunny. Went to lotsa day, night and weekend markets. Jatuchak, Silom, Pratunum, Suan Lam, Chinatown, etc, etc... Was kinda tiring as there's a lot of shopping and walking. Didn't bought alot of stuffs. 5 t-shirts, 4 tops, 4 berms, 1 gaucho pants, 2 bags for myself, 2 pairs of slipper, 1 pair of flat, 1 belt and some snacks. Not alot as compared to the other 2 couple of friends who we went together =P

Oh yea, David Cook won this season's American Idol! Yeah!!! I like him the best among all the contestants. I was extremely awed and impressed when he sang "Always Be my Baby" during the top 7. It was so awesome and so well sang, I love his version as compared to Maria Carey's.



Way to go David Cook !!!

Fishy fishy...

Sometimes I wonder... The fish food is so much bigger than the fish's mouth and the fish's teeth is so small, plus the water current that cause the food to float around... Wouldn't it be difficult to eat? How long will they need to take to feel full?

New hairstyle

Met Fang, Yun and Wen for ktv this noon. After the ktv, shopped a while at marina and city link with Wen and went home around 4.30pm.

Dunno what came to me, probably getting sick of my boring straight hair, I went to have my hair permed after that. And so as I sat on the chair while the hair stylist put on the curls on my hair, applied some strong chemical which pungent almost choked me, wrapped a towel below my hair and ears, and put on a black cap on my head before pulling over the hair heater over my head.




I looked kinda hilarious and told the hairdresser that I looked like a nun. You see, with the black hairdressing sheet in front of my body, towel around my neck, and the long black cap on my head, I resembled exactly like the nun in Sister Act.




This is not the first time I permed my hair, but somehow, my hair look a mess. And the hairdresser blow and style the hair till it looked like pong-sai-gao.

Anyway, perfer this new hairstyle as compared to the boring straight hair, makes my face smaller as well. Hee...

Utterly regretful bus trip

Juehui and I are sick of having to squeeze into the train every night after our boxing session. So we decided to take the bus yesterday night.

We waited at the bus stop, some bus are quite full, so we decided to wait for another bus since there's alot of bus going to Bedok. And so we waited for around 5 to 10 mins and started to give up the idea of taking bus. As we were turning back to head for the MRT, bus# 7 came. So I shouted to Juehui and we boarded the bus.

Then along the way, we became utterly regretful of taking the bus. We started to think of the possbilities if we had taken train instead. You know, we might have reached Bedok, almost reaching our house, finished bathing, ready for late dinner. Then we started to grumble that we still need to wait for the hair to dry... It was close to 11pm then.

So the whole bus ride became a whining session coz we could have reached Bedok in less than 15 minutes train ride while the bus waiting and travelling time took more than half an hour. T_T

We swear that we will never take bus from there to Bedok again next time. @_@

Blurry blurry...

This morning, as usual, woke up, brush teeth, wash up, bath, put on my clothes, put on my contact lens... wait... how come my right vision is blur after I put on the lens? I took out the contact lens, went to the fridge and took out the eyewash solution. Washed my right eye... washed my left eye... put on the lens again and its still not clear. Anyway, was running late to work, so decided to change a new pair of contact lens to solve eveything, but it still doesn't help. So decided to let it be and rushed out of the house.

I sat in my office workdesk and the blurry vision is irritating me, I can't concentrate on what I was doing. Went to bedok interchange during lunch time to check it out.

At the optometry, I passed my glasses to the optician to check the degree
Optician : OK, please place your chin here (the usual machine that checks the eyes' degree) and let me check your eye sight.
Few seconds later...
Optician : What's the degree of your contact lens that you're wearing?
Blury me : Ermm... 100 left, 200 right...
Optician : Could you have wear the lenses wrongly? Coz the degree for your glasses is 100 right, 200 left.
Blury me : (Pengz...) Errr... OK, I try to change the other way round, if there's anything, I'll come back again.
Zoommmm... Faster left the shop....

Back to office, tried to interchange the right and left lens and ta dah! its so much clearly now. Diaoz... Blury me... And this is not the first time...

Box, box... boxing!

Aiyo... my shoulder is aching. My back is aching too. And my knees, they're aching also... Aiyo... the boxing lesson at Kadir boxing school yesterday after my stopping of kickboxing and body-sculpting class for 2 months almost killed me... -_-|||

I hate the running part coz my running sucks. We're required to run one big round outside PA. Halfway through it, I already ai-see-ai-wa... started to become out of breathe and gos-tan run back to the school. Lucky hubby is beside me "entertaining" me as we run. Gee... Skipping is the easiest stunt for me coz last time I always skip ma. Then the circuit training almost killed my knee. Anyway, my knee-cap hasn't been very good la, so expected to feel the ache.

First thing I reached office, I told JH "my shoulders are aching..." She say its like that one la, coz of the boxing motion. Ya hor... The boxing motion... Took quite some time to get it right as the instructor came to guide us. "Open your legs wider...", "punch straight...", "twist your hip...", "arms dun open so wide..."...... Bleah...

Feel so sleepy now... Yawn... Hubby going overseas again in one week's time. Boo hoo... Looking forward to our Bangkok trip in May... 1 more month!

Another crazy ktv night

It was yet another super duper crazy night last Wednesday.

Went to the Partyworld at Orchard. It was a "JJ-concert cum farewell session" for Amanda who will be leaving HGST this month.

As usual, Joey performed her 爱不怕 despite that she just recovered from her sore throat. Thumbs up for her 卖力的演出 =D



And there's also special "highlights" from others where they are asked to perform involuntarily.

Jasmine almost "chua sai" when YX pulled her out to perform 阿雅's chua-bing song. Coz we don't expect the "performers" to sing only, but also dance together with the song. And Joey was standing beside them demonstrating how to do the dance. Wahaha...




"红豆! 大红豆! 芋头! ㄘㄨㄚ╝ ㄘㄨㄚ╝ㄘㄨㄚ╝ 你要加什么料... " Find this song a bit "sam-baht" -_-|||

Anyway, we enjoyed ourselves as we clap and use sand-pong-pong (dunno what it's called) and the other also dunno call what props to heighten the performance.



Sang lotsa other oldies, super-chee-na, hokkien and cantonese songs.



We ended the whole session with "Auld Lang Syne" and a big toast to Amanda for her future endeavour. The whole scene was so heartwarming and touching; we sang and sway to the song with our arms interlocked.



We left the ktv around 11.45pm. And all of us were like so tired when we reached office the next day @_@ Anyway, this ktv session is definitely better and more fun than the previous one.

I suddenly realised that I had been blogging for 8 years. Wow... 8 years... Wow wow... 8 years... wow wow wow... And I realised my English has become more and more lousy as compared to the past where I can fe-li-feh-leh with close to perfect English =( Now I suddenly seem to have limited verbs, adjectives, etc... Hmm... Think I better borrow some story books and brush up my English.

Met Juehui and Shufang for dinner yesterday evening. And surprise, surprise... Orbit-aka-Zhiyong had proposed to Shufang. Cool... Dun see his nick orbit orbit, orbiang orbiang... he's actually quite romantic after hearing Shufang narrate at how he proposed. Congrats fang... Its not an empty waiting... =D

Woo... lotsa friends and colleagues getting married soon. Just attended Wendy's on Saturday. Dion is getting married in November, Joscelyn December, Juehui February... Wow... Hole in the pocket...

Later going to KTV with my bunch of colleagues. The previous ktv session that we went, my jaw almost dropped to the floor when I saw Joey singing and dancing to 草蜢的爱不怕 in front of all of us like a superstar. But I expected something interesting la coz my colleagues organised the ktv session with the email subject "JJ concert". Wahaha... It was then that I understood why... Then with Joey's shirt unbutton (inside got wear another shirt la...), si buay wu style... Then sing and dance like ki-dang like that. Wah lau... See her like si-boon, si-boon in office, actually can get so high and crazy. Then they still bought lightsticks, scream and shout, si buay char... really like attending a concert. Bengz... But was very fun... Afterall most of us are around the same age, work hard and play hard ma. Haha...

Oh ya, I learnt another new gimmick from my cute and bubbly nephew. One Sunday when me and hubby was having lunch at my parent's house, my nephew came out from the toilet and later sang "Transformer... No money to buy..." Si buay cute... Wahahaha...

Hubby returning Singapore tomorrow morning le... Yeah ! Miss him so much...

Always see this bug flying around in my room. And I will know when they're here coz I can literally hear their wings (I guess they have hard wings) hitting on the cupboard or wall as they fly. Eeks...

家家有本难念的经

Today is a complaint session. A complain and taking-off-the-heart talk with my dad.

I always hear my mum complaining about dad. But today, its dad complaining about mum. And I suddenly realise how dad had been so accomodating, suddenly realise that everything doesn't seem to be as bad as what mum had been complaining. And when I hear my dad's side of story, somehow I felt heartache and felt like crying. I controlled my tears like fuck, trying not to let the tears roll down. And my repect for dad deepens.

And I suddenly felt so sad that I always have this bad misconception about dad. And I suddenly lost my appetite. And I suddenly realised I haven't eaten any meal for the whole day. And... Sigh... 家家有本难念的经...

On my way home, I suddenly wonder if I really want to bring a life to this world and go through all these life's agony...

Sigh... miss hubby so much... sobz... 6 more days...

Vasculitis

Went CGH for review for my tai-goh skin yesterday. And the verdict is that I've got vasculitis. In short, my blood is inflamed. Cause, unknown. Doc says my other organs are not affected and seems like the condition is better now coz the redness has gone down. Good news. But now the patchy scar makes my legs look like cow skin. =( *moo...* Well, I'm still itching as and when, here and there... *scatch, scratch* But its definitely better than the past 2 weeks where I see my leg full of red patches *ga-ling-zhun*

CNY over le, so fast... time flies... Now preparing for Valentine's Day liao. Selling feather roses, anyone interested feel free to contact me. Went Pei's house to wrap the flowers yesterday, reached home around 2am. With the effect of yesterday night's medicine plus this morning's medicine, I'm super duper drowsy now. Mary was teaching me her customer account stuffs coz she'll be going on maternity soon and I was like half asleep, forcing my eyes to open and ears to listen. Halfway through I felt like I was sleeping though my eyes are open. 最高境界...

Edison's scandal - What a big mistake

Edison's scandalous news are seen on newspapers everyday. OMG, what a big mistake he had made. Dumb ass, causing scandalous photos with celebs like Cecilia Cheung and Gillian Chung to be leaked out. Dunno how the gals are gonna bury their face. In the first place, dunno why the gals allow him to take those photos. Think there'll be more news about this coming up.


Hubby's back! Yeah ! So happy to be able to see him and hug him. And it's 2 more days to CNY! Tomorrow's CNY eve but my company don't have half day, only release at probably 3pm. WTF. My family is having reunion lunch lor. Why can't the management think for people like me and mummies who need to prepare the dinner. Sigh...

Anyway, wishing every happy chinese new year, gong xi fa cai. HUAT AH !!!

It ain't getting any better

Sigh, now my front thigh have rashes also le... Sigh... I wonder when my skin will stop "growing" new rashes. Sigh... Sad... Hubby, “你不在，当我最需要爱，你却不在..." Sobz, sobz... Faster come back, wiffy waiting for your return.

Oh ya, my chocolate nail has dropped off. Here's a pic of my finger with that piece of chocolate nail.


2 weeks to chinese new year, hope my skin can faster recover. Sobz sobz, miss hubby, miss mummy... ;(

Ugly legs =(

My legs... They're so ugly... Boo hoo... Full of eczema scars... When can I have a good night sleep? Its been long since I can sleep the whole night through without waking up in the middle of the night. Sigh... The itch seems to take a very long time to go away.

Hubby is off to Thailand this morning le. Will be room alone for the next 2 weeks. I'm already missing him.

My lips are feeling so dry. Think I ate too much seaweed for the past few days =p Can even see the seaweed when I shit. Haa...

AHHH....

Its been one week, and my eczema is not showing any improvement. OMG, help me!!!
Now my hand has it and its spreading towards my thigh. Boo hoo... So itchy, 我不想活了!!! Boo hoo hoo...

Argh... its driving me crazy

The itch is driving me crazy. Arghh...

I wonder when my eczema will recover. I keep having to tolerate the damn itchy skin throughout the 24hours, even in my sleep. I wake up every 1 hour at night, trying to find a comfortable position that won't irritate the skin and make it itchier. There's a tick in my medi that says "This drug cause drowsiness. If affected, do not drive or operate machinery." Apparently, it has zero effect on me coz I don't feel any bit of drowsiness. I guess the itch has overpowered the drug. Boo hoo...

Now I just don't feel like going out coz I can only wear shorts so that my skin won't be irritated and I don't wish to go around scaring people with that patch of tai-goh skin behind my knee. Even I myself feel disgusted when I see my skin =( So I'll be working from home this week and next till the condition stables.

Sob sob... what a start for new year. Immune system, attack those eczema !!!
