What's the meaning of...

Due to some funny history, Kenny and I have been using the word "na bei" as our normal greetings in replacement to the normal "hi" in MSN. Just now I suddenly wonder what does "na bei" means. So, thinking Kenny must be an expert in vulgarity coz he uses this word so often, I asked him what does "na bei" means. His reply: "actually hor i also dun know leh"... Na bei, he uses the word so often yet he doesn't know what it means...

Anyone know what exactly na bei means? Hmm... Wonder if the meaning is very offensive...
